David Lee Mayenschein

David Mayenschein, age 73, of Newcomerstown, died Friday, May 13, 2016 at Canyon Vista Hospice in Las Vegas, NV. He was born Wednesday, September 2, 1942 in Huntington, WV to the late Virgil and Ethel (Ransbottom) Mayenschein. David retired from the U.S. Navy where he proudly served his Country from March 20, 1964 until March 31, 1984. After his retirement, he went to work at the Defense Financing Account Center in Cleveland. He was also an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. On August 12, 1972 he married the former Elaine (Patterson) Mayenschein of Newcomerstown who survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lucille Coyer and a nephew, Larry Coyer. Services will be Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 12:00 PM at the Addy Funeral Home with Pastor Don Silverthorne officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral Home.
