April 2, 1988 - July 25, 2017

Jacob T. Kirk, 29, of Newcomerstown went to heaven Tuesday, July 25, 2017. He was born Saturday, April 2, 1988 in Coshocton, OH. His parents are Johnnie W. and Shirley Mae (Lehman) Kirk of Newcomerstown. Jake was a graduate of Newcomerstown High School Class of 2006, He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Jake was a dedicated crew chief for the 334th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, 4th Fighter Wing, located at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, NC. He helped maintain 24 F-15E Strike Eagle Aircraft valued at over $1.1 billion during wartime, in direct support of Operation Endurance Freedom. The jet he was personally assigned to and responsible for was: F-15E 88-1704. Jake received many awards during his service, including expert marksman. Jake was an employee of Gemstone Gas Welding Supply out of New Philadelphia. He had many other certificates and skills including utility lineman and welding. Jake married Catherine (Marx) Kirk Saturday, February 18, 2012, who currently survives. Also surviving are his two precious, young daughters, Kinsley Rais and Riley Marie Kirk who have their dad's ornery twinkle in their eye; three siblings who loved him dearly, oldest brother, Joe Eggleston of Newcomerstown, idenical twin brother Jordan (Erica) Kirk of West Lafayette, and younger sister, Samantha Kirk of Newcomerstown; grandmothers, Pat Irons and Helen Lehman both of Newcomerstown; aunts and uncles, Bill (Ruth) Lehman,Carl (Jodie) Lehman, Dave (Cindy) Lehman, Lonnie (Sandy)Kirk, Corinna Welch, Betty (Mike) Wilson; many neices and a nephew whom he absolutely adored, Chase, Keegan, Zoey, Jayden, Skylar, Maelea; and loving cousins who brought him great joy, including Josh Lehman who Jake loved as a brother from the day they were born; last but not least, all of Jake's many friends, known as his buddies, who will miss him dearly. Jake is in his forever home in heaven with his brother, Johnnie Lee; grandfathers, Bill Lehman, Wally Irons, and Alvie Kirk; Aunt Patty and Aunt Puggy; along with many other loved ones. Visitation will be held in the Addy Funeral Home on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. Private family services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Newcomerstown Veteran Honor Guard Post Office Box 66 Newcomerstown, OH 43832.
