James Earl McCormick, 75 of Newcomerstown passed away Friday, April 07, 2017 at his residence. He was born Wednesday, June 18, 1941 in Newcomerstown to the late James H. and Martha L. 'Stocker' McCormick. Earl was a Project Planner at Simonds Industry for over 25 years and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Newcomerstown. He was also a member of the Democratic Party, Masonic Lone Star Lodge #175, Newcomerstown,Tadmore Lodge in Akron, Elks Lodge #1555 of Newcomerstown and the Loyal Order of Moose #1337 of Newcomerstown. On Saturday September 16, 1995 he married Sandy 'Westhafer' McCormick who survives. He is also survived by a sister, Sandra Kay (Franklyn) Giampa of Spring Lake, Mich.; one brother, Harry Ronald (Janice) McCormick of Newcomerstown. Funeral services will be Monday, April 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Addy Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenneth Hacker and Pastor Jay Rock officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Port Washington. Visitation will be Sunday, April 09, 2017 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Addy Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Tusc.
