Martha Ellen Gump

Martha Ellen Gump, 88, passed peacefully in her home Saturday, July 6, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Bessie (Wright) Roupe; sisters, Louise Miller and Laura Anderson; brothers, Jim Roupe, John Roupe, and Paul Roupe, and sister-in-law, Jean Roupe. Martha loved gardening, puzzles, decorating, and her family. She was the first Director of Housekeeping at Riverside Manor when it was built and spent many years there before retiring. Martha is survived by her children, John (Sue) Gump of Columbus, Steven (Mary) Gump of Winston Salem, NC, Patty (Dave) Barker of Newcomerstown, and Richard Gump of Newcomerstown; grandchildren, Shannon (Steve) Harper of Elsmere, KY, Nora (Fritz) Hamme of Winchester, VA, Jesse (Stacy) Gump of Westerville, Ezekiel (Megan) Gump of Tobaccoville, NC, Lindsay (Kevin) Romanetti-Cowden of Cokeburg, PA; great-grandchildren, Opie Harper, Adelaide Hamme, Tori and Aubrey Gump, Cassandra ad Ansley Gump, Michael Romanetti, and Dominick Dunmire; and also many nieces and nephews. There will be no services. However, a Celebration of Life is being planned.
