Martha L. McCormick, 93 of Newcomerstown, died Friday, February 12, 2016 at Riverside Manor Nursing & Rehab. Center, Newcomerstown. She was born Wednesday, March 01, 1922 in Port Washington to the late Harry McCelland and Mae Bell (West) Stocker. Martha spent more than four years working in factories such as National Cash Register, RCA, Shaw- Barton Calendars, Edmont Glove Factory and Kurz-Kasch. In her early years she was a care taker for her mother and siblings and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Newcomerstown. On Thursday, July 11, 1940 she married James H. McCormick who preceded her September 14, 2006. Martha is survived by two sons, James Earl (Sandy) McCormick and Harry Ronald (Janice) McCormick all of Newcomerstown; one daughter, Sandra Kay (Franklyn) Giampa of West Palm Beach, FL.; one granddaughter, Austynn Lindsay Giampa of Fort Lauderdale, FL; one sister, Dorothy L. Hootman of Newcomerstown; one sister-in-law, Mary Jane Stocker of Newcomerstown., She was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Stocker Jr. and one sister, Wilma May Gross. Services will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 12:00pm at the Addy Funeral Home with Rev. William Haggis Sr. and Rev. Ken Hacker officiating. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Port Washington. A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Addy Funeral Home.
