Raymond W. Ridgley, 68, of Newcomerstown, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020 at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover. He was born Monday, August 11, 1952 in Newcomerstown to the late William L. and Erma E. (Eckelberry) Ridgley. He attended Newcomerstown High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1972 to 1974. Ray was a truck driver for most of his life. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Newcomerstown. Ray was a member of many groups and organizations, including the American Legion Thomas C. Montgomery Post 431, the VFW Post 3303, and the Moose Lodge #1337, all of Newcomerstown, the AM Vets Post 36 of Coshocton and the Scottish Rite of Cambridge. He is survived by one brother, Cyrus (Marilyn) Eggleston of Port Washington; one sister, Deb (Tim) Bryant of Newcomerstown; his nieces, Donna (John) Maloy, Stephanie (Daniel) Gordon, Megan (Jeremy) Alloway, Tina (Dale) Brandon, April (Michael) Ratliff; and several great-nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held and burial will take place at West Lawn Cemetery.
