Robert "Max" Sharrock

Robert "Max" Sharrock, 84, of Newcomerstown, died Monday, December 4, 2017 at Hennis Care Center Dover. He was born September 3, 1933 in Newcomerstown to the late Earl and Jessie (Kernes) Sharrock. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. He retired from General Tire in 1995, but his true passion was helping people with their Workers Compensation claims for over 40 years. He was a member of the American Legion Thomas C. Montgomery Post 431, VFW Post 3303, and the Elks Lodge #1555, all of Newcomerstown. He is survived by five children, Cheryl Morris of Tampa, FL, Mark (Donna) Sharrock of Newcomerstown, Jacqueline (John) Drinkard of Lutz, FL, Kenneth (April) Sharrock of New Franklin, and Kevin (Shari) Sharrock of Newcomerstown; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Richard (Carol) Sharrock of Elyria. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Chester, Bernard, and Raymond Sharrock; two sisters, Mildred Grady and Margorie Stocker. Graveside services will be Friday, December 8, 2017 at 12 PM at West Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Donald Silverthorne officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Addy Funeral Home. Military services will be conducted by the Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard.
