Valerie Henry Barron, 51, of Port Washington went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 30, 2015 at her home. She was born March 3, 1964 in Dennison to the late Ray J. and Alice (Malterer) Henry. She was a 1982 Indian Valley South High School graduate. She attended Church of Christ in Christian Union in Newcomerstown. The thing that meant the most to Val was attending all the kids' sporting events where they eagerly awaited hearing that encouraging and unmistakable whistle. But the ultimate in her life was traveling from state to state to watch her son, Logan, compete in wrestling tournaments. She is survived by her daughter, Brittney Pappas of Port Washington; two sons, Mitchell Barron of Newcomerstown and Logan Hursey of the home; three grandchildren, Taylor Bair, Jordyn Jones, and Cylas Barron; three sisters, Mary (Tom) Quillin of Guernsey, Cheri Hall of Carrolton, and Cindy Stocker of Gnadenhutten; two brothers, Mike (Jacki) Henry of Newcomerstown, and Ben (Jill) Henry of Peoli; and 52 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Davis. Services will be Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Peoli United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Reed officiating. Burial will be in Peoli Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 31, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown.
