Allen W."Soupy" Campbell, 49, of Placerville, Calif., went to be with the Lord at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1,2005, due to a lengthy battle with a lung disease. He was born Feb. 27, 1955, in Coshocton. He graduated from Newcomerstown High School, served eight years in the Air Force serving in Vietnam, Germany and at Mather Air Force Base. He was essential in closing the Sacramento Army Depot and McClellan AFB, where he worked approximately 20 years. He was currently employed at the Sacramento International Airport as an airport emergency dispatcher. He played an active roll in El Dorado High School's Booster Athletic program and numerous sports activities. He also was a member of Bible Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Kelly; his three children, Cassandra, Jeffrey, and David; grandchildren, Kristilyn, Brooklyn, Caulin, David Jr. and Lilly Hope; stepfather and mother, Robert and Patricia Miller; brother, Mark (Susan); sister, Amy (Brian); in-laws, Al and Jodie Lindsrom, Skip (Kristy), Terry (Peggy) and Tracy (Ward); numerous nephews and nieces; and countless family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles; his sister, Kristy, and his beloved dog, Joker.
