Authur "Ike" Wilkin

Arthur William Wilkin, age 87, died at Wesley Glen in Columbus, September 20, 2003. Born December 22, 1915, to Andrew Montgomery and Mary Pierce Wilkin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Anne Barnhouse Wilkin and a son, Michael David. He is survived by two sons, Dr. Jonathan Wilkin and wife Dr. Olive(Craigo) of Columbus, Gregory Kim Wilkin and wife Candace(Mastro) of Philadelphia, Pa.; five grandchildren, Christopher Wilkin and wife Deborah(Rowe), Dr. Nathaniel, Joshua, Rachael and Hannah Wilkin; three great grandchildren, Alexandra, Madeleine and Victoria Belle Wilkin. He graduated from Newcomerstown High School in l934, and was a member of First United Methodist Church of New Philadelphia, York Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio, Toastmasters Club of Newcomerstown, and past president of Rotary Club of Newcomerstown. He was employed by RCA, and later NCR in Cambridge. He founded Wilkin Realty. He assisted in many Cub Scout and Boy Scout events. He won first prizes at Tuscarawas County Fair Flower Shows and was a lifelong planter of trees. Contributions may be made to the Newcomerstown Public Library.
