Brenda L. Phillips

Brenda Lee Phillips, 70 of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025 at Schoenbrunn Village.

Brenda was born May 9, 1955, in Cleveland to the late Elmer and Susie (Brown) Cooper. She enjoyed bingo, card games, and doing word search puzzles. She also enjoyed going to church at Schoenbrunn Village. She was an entrepreneur, and had a restaurant and bookstore. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children Melissa Nay, Michael Seese, Sara (Russell) Jewett, and Lee (Jessica) Grewell; her grandchildren Cole, Sara, Mya, Kari, Hunter, Daniel, Rockford, Robert, Wayne, Rylynd, Alec, and Lexi; numerous great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law Suzie Seese; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings Dorsey James Cooper, Michael Cooper, and an infant sister who passed away at birth.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm.
