Carl Lyons

Carl Bruce Lyons, age 54 of 495 Neighbor Street Newcomerstown, died Tuesday August 26, 2003 at Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born May 3, 1949 in Newcomerstown, Son of Mona L. (Harmon) Lyons of Cambridge and the late Carl L. Lyons. He was a 1967 Newcomerstown High School graduate and graduated from Kent State University in 1978 with a Bachelor in Business Administration. He was a laborer and water operator for the Village of Newcomerstown and employed at Bowman's Sportswear.He was a member of St.Paul Lutheran Church of Newcomerstown,member of Elk's Lodge #1555. Past member of Newcomerstown Park Board for 10 Years.Avid reader. Enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, cross word puzzles, playing cards, talking with friends, cooking and doing yogo. He was a bird watcher and history buff. At Bruce's request, come dressed casual. He is survived by his wife Kim (Steed)Lyons whom he married May 23, 1982, also surviving are three daughters, Dana Michelle Lyons, Amanda Kaye Lyons, and Jennifer Marie Lyons, all of the home; two brothers, Harry L. Lyons and wife Jackie of Coshocton, John Lyons of Lawrenceville, GA; two sisters, Judy Gardinsky and husband George of Cambridge, Virginia Bates of Newcomertown. Services will be on Saturday (08/30/2003) at 2:00 at the Addy Funeral Home with Pastor William C. Haggis II officating, calling hours will be from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday.
