Charles M. Wright, 78, of 111 N. Wood St., Port Washington, O., died Monday, April 21, 2008, in his residence at Port Washington, O. He was born Dec. 28, 1929, at North Chelmsford, Mass., a son of the late Lillian (Whetmore) Wright and Marquis B. Wright. He was employed by IGA, Eureka Hardware and NAPA, all of Newcomerstown, and was display manager for Montgomery Ward of New Philadelphia. He was a member of the Port Washington Congregation of Jehovah?s Witness. Surviving are his wife, Eileen P. (Clarke) Wright, whom he married April 25, 1950; three sons, Charles M. Wright Jr. and wife Bridget of St. Clairsville, Gerald W. Wright and wife Julia E. of Port Washington and Walter R. Wright and wife Christina M. of Stow; two daughters, Marion E. Wright of New Philadelphia and Patrice R. Wright of Port Washington; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Florence Brake and husband Nelson of North Chelmsford, Mass., and Dorothy Walachek and husband Bruce of Lowell, Mass. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Wright. A memorial service will be held at Port Washington Kingdom Hall on Saturday, May 10, 2008, beginning at 3, with James A. Hines Sr. officiating. Arrangements are by Addy Funeral Home.
