Christena E. Shaw

Christena E. Shaw, 71 of 320 West Church Street, Newcomerstown died Tuesday, November 25,2003 at her residence. She was born October 27, 1932 in Blacksville, WV to the late Johnny David and Mabel (Varner) Brewer. She was a homemaker,a member of American Legion-Thomas C. Montgomery #421, Loyal Order of the Moose #1337 both of Newcomerstown. She was an avid Bingo player and loved yard sales. On February 9, 1952 she married Joseph Shaw who died December 7, 1990. Survivors include one son William 'Bob' Shaw and wife Judy, one daughter, Mabel Amore and companion Tom Rose all of Newcomerstown; four grandchildren, Joseph and easton Shaw, Kristin and Tyler Amore; two sisters, Bertha Wilson of Fairview, WV and Virginia Tennant of Morgantown, WV. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Brewer; a sister, Helena Tennant. Services will be Saturday at 11am with Rev. Stephen T. Sparling officiating.
