Dale F. Porcer,86, of Newcomerstown, died on Saturday Nov. 11, 2006 in Cambridge. He was born April 25, 1920 in Newcomerstown to the late Fred and Jennie (Huff) Porcher. Dale graduated from Newcomerstown High School in 1939, served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and retired from Simonds Ind. in 1982 after 41 years of service. He was a member of Calvary U.M.C. and the former Tuscarawas Valley Antique dealers. Dale enjoyed hunting, was a square dance caller, and collected and sold antiques for 50 years. On July 21, 1972, Dale married Ella Mae Froelic Porcher, who preceded him in death on Jan. 8, 1997. He is survived by one step daughter, Barbara Hinds and husband Carl of Newcomerstown, one step son-in-law, Dean Schuler of Warsaw, 7 step grandchildren, Cindy Hemming and Kim Gamertsfelder both of Warsaw, Debbie Prysi, Kevin Hinds, Keith Hinds, and Wendy Rummell all of Newcomerstown, Carla Augustine of Loudenville; 17 step great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson. In addition to his parents and wife, Dale was preceded in death by a step daughter, Marjorie Schuler. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, at Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown with the Rev. Chauncey Eggan officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown. Military services will be conducted by the Newcomestown Veteran Honor Guard. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, 2006 at the funeral home.
