David Elliott

David Lee Elliott Sr., age 77 of Newcomerstown, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.

He was born on July 18, 1948 in Coshocton, Ohio the son of the late Harold E. Elliott and Helen (Rehard) Elliott.

Dave was a 1966 graduate of Newcomerstown High School. On June 15, 1979 he married Deborah L. Beall who survives.

Dave worked as a laborer at Simonds until their closure and then went on to work for ASAP in Midvale until his retirement.

He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, enjoyed gardening, bowling, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and just spending quiet times with his wife and family.

In addition to his wife Deborah, Dave is survived by his four children, David (Vickie) Elliott, Lori Stevens, Chad Elliott, and Ashlee Elliott; six grandchildren, Andriana (Dequence) Sherman, Candace Elliott, Liam, Tristan, and Everlee Elliott, and Brynlee Alverson; his sister, Mary Craigo, brother’s and sister’s- in- law, Richard and Patty Bichard, Rance and Ronalda Rose, Bob and April Beall, and Joe and Myrtle Beall; brother in law, Jim Hagan; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Dave is preceded in death by father and mother-in-law, Ronald and Jean Beall; two sisters, Jeannie Smith and Candace Hagan; and brothers-in-law, Lewis Craigo and Clay Smith.

A graveside service will be held at West Lawn Cemetery in Newcomerstown at a later date.
