David Welch

David Eugene Welch, 65 of Newcomerstown, passed away on June 23, 2026 at his residence.

Davie was born June 12, 1961, in Coshocton to the late Rollin and Juanita (Rothenstein) Welch. Davie honorably served in the United States Marines, and later went on to become a heavy equipment operator and welder. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, and was a social butterfly that enjoyed chatting and hanging out with his friends and family. He was a gardener, and enjoyed canning and making jerky. He was a big fan of beer and Copenhagen, and was a wildlife enthusiast, often feeding the deer he encountered.

He is survived by his children Justin (Jessica) Welch, and Hannah Welch; his grandchildren Holden Welch, Garrett Welch, Lane Welch and one granddaughter on the way; his siblings Michael (Denise) Welch, Melissa (Tom) Berry, and Kathy Welch; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Military Honors will be provided by Newcomerstown Honor Guard on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11:00 am at West Lawn Cemetery. A graveside service will follow with Pastor Mike Kennedy officiating.
