David E. Woodby, 65, of Newcomerstown, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, at Lafayette Pointe.
David was born May 2, 1960, in Cleveland to the late Thomas and Rosa (Buchanan) Woodby. A hardworking and dedicated man, David served as Maintenance at Oxford Square Apartments for 38 years, where he was a well-known and respected figure.
Beyond his career, David found great peace in nature while hiking and truly loved going to the zoo. He also enjoyed the simple pleasure of watching movies. Most importantly, he was a man of deep faith who loved going to church and spent much of his time reading the Bible.
He is survived by his two sons, Joshua Thomas Woodby and James Dalton Stull. He leaves behind the love of his life and best friend, Julie Woodby. He is also survived by four siblings: Cathy Bryant, Kenny Woodby, Carl Woodby, and Peggy Vohs; his grand-niece, Ariana Baumgardner; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Billy Woodby and Charlie Woodby.
A caring cremation will take place. He will be laid to rest with his parents at West Lawn Cemetery in Newcomerstown at a later date.
