Denise L. Porter

Denise Lynn Porter, 65 of Newcomerstown, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025, at her residence.

Denise was born January 2, 1960, in Massillon to Jay Lynn Werstler and Susan Jo Smiley. Denise graduated from Fairless High School and was a proud member of the National Honors Society. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in New Philadelphia. Denise loved the Lord and loved to worship. She enjoyed gardening and reading in her spare time. She was a life-long learner and loved researching various topics and teaching others.

She is survived by her loving husband Kenneth Porter; her children Patricia (Joshua) Boyd, Natalie (Noah) Adams, and Randall (Tracy) Keumerle; her eleven grandchildren; her mother Susan Werstler; her siblings Jay (Sue) Werstler, Larry (Candy) Werstler, Dana Werstler, and Shelly (Duane) Snyder.

Denise was preceded in death by her father Jay Werstler.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 11:00 am at West Lawn Cemetery officiated by Pastor Don Snow.
