Diana K. Throckmorton

Diana K. Throckmorton, 77 of Newcomerstown, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026 at Danbury of Hudson.

Diane was born October 24, 1948, in Dennison to the late Henry and Lola (Norman) DeLong. She graduated from Newcomerstown High School, class of 1967, and went on to work at Cameo hair salon for over fifty-six years as a hairstylist. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, and sang in the choir and worked with Christ Kitchen. She also sang with the Victory Canteen Singers. She was a Red Hat Lady, and carried her spirit of being a cheerleader her whole life. She was an excellent baker, and was always giving away cookies.

She is survived by her children Melissa (Rob) Quillin-Grignon, and Candace Skinner; her grandson Brice (Alice) Shearer; her great-grandchildren Kielynn Shearer, Ariella Skinner and Hayden; her siblings Duke (Molly) DeLong, and Betsy Wise; her best friend Susan Jane Barry; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Along with her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her loving husband William Throckmorton; and her grandson Reed Skinner.

A visitation will be held at Addy Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Monday, June 29, 2026. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Lori Stevens officiating. Diane will be laid to rest in West Lawn Cemetery.
