Earl Berger

Earl R. Berger, 65, of 6374 Laurel Creek Rd., Tippecanoe, O., died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, in Aultman Hospital at Canton, O. He was born April 7, 1942, at Uhrichsville, O., a son of the late Wilma (Logan) Berger and Russell Berger. He was a 1960 graduate of Freeport High School and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict. He retired after 32 years as an associate of Timken Co. of New Philadelphia. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church of Newcomerstown. Surviving are his wife, Deloris (Young) Berger, whom he married June 20, 1975; four sons, Michael Berger and wife Carla of Tampa, Fla., Scott Mills of Kimbolton, Matthew Berger and wife Cathy of Tampa, Fla., and David ?Hammy? Berger of Tippecanoe; five grandchildren; one brother, Howard Berger of Tippecanoe; two sisters, Linda Wise of Tuscarawas and Evelyn Scholosky of Arizona; a half sister, Marge of New Philadelphia. He was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Tully, and a half brother, ?Ike? Charles Berger. A memorial service will be held at Valley View Baptist Church at Newcomerstown on Friday, April 4, 2008, beginning at 1 p.m. with Rev. William E. Ramsay officiating.
