Eleanor Davis

Eleanor J. Davis, 79, of Gnadenhutten, OH., died Sunday, November 23, 2003 at 2:40 P.M. at her home after a brief battle with cance. Born July 9, 1923, in Newcomerstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Elmer G. and Helen A. (Burkowsky) Schworm. She was devoted wife,mother,grandmother and great-grandmother all her life. She was a 1941 graduate of Newcomerstown High School, and a member of the Newcomerstown Church of Christ. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gail and Jackie Davis of Pataskala, her daughter and son-in-law Diane and Don Winrod of Gnadenhutten, daughter-in-lawCarol Davis of Gilmore, five grandchildren, Jennifer Bush, Jocelyn Davis, Derk Young Davis, Dallas Winrod and Bart Peeper, and two Great-grandchildren Tristan Bush and Hailey Bush. Also surviving are six brothers, Stanley Schworm of Coshocton, Roland Schworm of Paradise, CA., Lorin Schworm of Westerville, Donald Schworm of St. Clairsville, Wayne Schworm of Newcomerstowmn and many Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harold L. "Lucky" Davis, her eldest son Harold L. "Davy" Davis, and a brother, Clark Schworm. In lieu of flowers memorials contributions may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County.
