Frank David Oldt, 85 of Newcomerstown, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Riverside Manor.

Frank was born June 23, 1939, in Deavertown, Ohio to the late Frank Maxwell Oldt and Rosa-Lee (Allen). Frank graduated from Newcomerstown High School in 1957. On May 15, 1959, he married the love of his life Jean Besst, who passed away in 2019. Frank honorably served in the United States Army Reserves from 1957 to 1963. He later opened Frank’s Body Shop where he was an auto body repair mechanic. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. Frank was the cofounder of Tri-County Ambulance, where he was the first administrator. He always had lots of fun and enjoyed bowling with his league. In his later years after retirement, Frank enjoyed tilling neighborhood gardens and plowing his neighbor’s snow. He was very generous with his time and talents.

He is survived by his siblings Naundice Hart, Mary Rose (James) Meechan, and Terry Oldt; and his sister-in-law Sylvia Oldt.

Along with his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife Jean B. Oldt; and his brother Maxwell Gerald Oldt.

A visitation will be held at Addy Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2025. A funeral service will take place on Friday, February 21, at 12:00 pm with Pastor Mark Brodbeck officiating. Frank will be laid to rest next to his wife Jean in West Lawn Cemetery.
