Glen Shugars Obituary

Glen M. Shugars, 79, of 427 Park Hill Drive, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Newcomerstown. He was born June 23, 1925, in Westernport, Md., to the late Anna Rebecca(Armonstrout) Shugars and Thomas C. Shugars. He was a veteran of World War IIand served from Aug. 27, 1943 to Jan 16, 1946 on the U.S.S. Haverfield. A member of the Church of God of Newcomerstown, he retired from there as a minister, after serving for 31 years. On Oct. 14, 1960, he married Maxine L. (Marple) Shugars. Survivors include seven children; 21 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
