James D. Jones

James D. Jones, 74 of Uhrichsville, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026 at Claymont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

James was born August 12, 1951, in Guernsey to the late James E. Jones and Opal (Rose) Jones. He lived in the house he grew up in, and loved it out there. He loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends. He took his dog Buddy just about everywhere he went. He enjoyed sitting by the lake and on his friend Danny’s porch just to visit almost every day. He will be missed by many and was a great guy who would help in any way he could. We will miss you Uncle Jimmy.

He is survived by his nephew Kenneth Jones and his wife Janie Jones; his great nieces and nephews Aaron Jones, his wife Janelle and their daughter Harper; Courtney Gallagher and her husband Kyle and their children Claire and Kaden; Jennifer and Matt Hilliard and their four children Addison, Sam, Desarae, and Elena; and his granddaughters Amanda, Terri, and Lisa.

James was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Terri Ricosky; and his brother Earl Lee Jones.

Per his wishes, a cremation will take place. James will be laid to rest beside his family at Earley’s Cemetery.
