John H. Milligan, 73 of Kimbolton, OH, passed away peacefully on October 31st, 2024 in Greenfield, IN.

John was born January 18, 1951, in Cambridge, OH to the late Harold John and Cora Estella (Clemens) Milligan.

John was grew up in Kimbolton, OH and those years on the family farm were so precious to him.  John graduated with an engineering degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH in 1972, and later went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering. John had a brilliant mind and a beautiful singing voice. He spent most of his working years engineering for NASA as a systems engineer at JPL in Pasadena, CA, where he retired in 2012. John married Shilani Goonetillike in 1979, they had 24 happy years together (until her passing on May 17, 2003) in Whittier, CA, raising their boys, traveling all over & enjoying fellowship with many friends & family. John married his second wife August 2nd, 2012. They spent 12 wonderful years together, retired on the family farm in Kimbolton, traveling every chance they got to visit friends and family.

Most important in John’s life was his faith in God. With his parents and both wives, he enjoyed years of sweet fellowship, loved singing hymns and sitting under the sound of the Gospel every opportunity they got.

He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Violet “Susie” Milligan; his two sons Roshan (Suneita) Milligan and Nelunga (Madelyn) Milligan; his grandchildren Jacob, Jesunie, Jaelan, Yaxel, Antwon, Hayden & Jay; his step-children Ryan (Stacey) Richey and Abigail (Brian) Hatfield; and many dear friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Shilani Milligan.

A visitation will be held at Addy Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, November 11. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday November, 12 at 11:00 with Greg Harger and Carol Stephens officiating. John will be laid to rest in Plainfield Cemetery at a later date.
