Jonathan Elkins

Jonathan G. Elkins, 49 of Newcomerstown, passed away on April 27, 2026.

Jon was born September 8, 1976, in Portsmouth, Virginia to Ivan and Drema (Cooper) Elkins. Jon enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He was a second degree black belt. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandbabies.

He is survived by his loving wife Heather Elkins; his children Lexxus (Tyler) Moore, and Austin (Brooke) Campbell; his grandchildren Harlow, Krew, Willow, Reign, and Noah; his siblings Stephanie (Jason) Arsenault, and Christopher (Tracy) Elkins; his friends Josh Hill, Alf and Anita Blankenship, and several motorcycle riding buddies; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Jon was preceded in death by his mother Drema Elkins.

Per his wishes, a cremation will take place. A Celebration of Jon’s Life will be scheduled at a later date.
