Joyce A. Tennant

Joyce A. Tennant, 77 of Newcomerstown, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025 at her residence.

Joyce was born July 31, 1947, in Kentucky to the late Thurman Lee and Mary Delorse (Roederer) Amore. Joyce attended Hartwood Methodist Church, and enjoyed growing flowers. She was a crafty individual, and was excellent at building. She built toys, swing sets, and playhouses for her family. She was also excellent at sewing, and made clothes for her children when they were growing up.

She is survived by her children Larry Lafferty, Lisa (Ike Callahan) Lafferty, Eugene (Jen) Lafferty, Donald Lafferty, Angela (Ben) Gibson, and Corina (Shawn) Armstrong; her siblings Alberta (Robert) Marlatt, Eugene (Trina) Amore, George, William (Holly) Amore, Donald (Cindy) Amore, Leo (Ann) Amore, James (Teddi) Amore, John (Diana) Amore, and Rebecca Croft; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Corie Downer whom she raised.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother Leroy Finley Amore.

Per Joyce’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Hartwood Cemetery.
