Kenneth Welch

Kenneth L. Welch, 77, 10661 Buckhorn Road, died Wednesday, Oct 15, 2003, at his residence. He was born Nov. 6, 1925, in Shaffer, W.Va. to the late Sylvia Pearl (Fansler) Welch and C. Ray Welch. He attended Newcomerstown High School and served in the Army during WWII. Mr Welch was a farmer and started K.L. Welch and Sons Lawn and Garden in 1957. He attended Christ United Methodist Church of Newcomerstown, was a member of Newcomerstown American Legion, Elk's Lodge 1555, Post Washington Masonic Lodge 202, Arbutus Eastern Star 268 Gnadenhutten, Valley of Cambridge Scottish Rite and Aladdin Temple of Columbus Shrine. He enjoyed fishing ,hunting and traveling. On Feb. 28, 1948, he married Martha(Miller) Welch, who survives. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Linda (David A.) Burrier and Catherine (Dr. Phillip) Schrickel, all od Newcomerstown; two sons, James Welch and Danny (Angela) Welch, all of Newcomerstown; 12 Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren.
