Margaret Rutter

Margaret E. 'Peg' (Miller) Rutter was born and lived in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania from 1928-1964, resided in Newcomerstown, Ohio from 1964-1997 before moving to Trussville, Alabama in 1997. She graduated from Mount Mercy School of Nursing, Pittsburgh. She worked as a nurse at Mercy Hospital, then in private practice in Newcomerstown and retired from General Electric Corp. Coshocton,Oh where she served for twenty years as an occupational nurse. She is survived by her husband George 'Mal' Rutter of 58 years; and four children, Randy Rutter (Kala) of Trussville, Alabama, Judy VanVoorhis (Ron) of Norwich, Ohio, Jeff Rutter (Chris) and Barbara (Kevin) McCarthy of Birmingham, Alabama; five grandchildren; two brothers, and three sisters. The Family will receive friends at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, Alabama on Tuesday March 6th from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 7th at 12:00 noon at Jefferson Memorial Chapel. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis, Tenn., or The American Cancer Society.
