Marjorie M. Williams, 75, of 10798 Williams Rd., Gnadenhutten, O., died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, in her residence at Gnadenhutten. She fought a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 30, 1933, in Tuscarawas County, O., a daughter of the late Roxie Mabel (Durbin) Hursey and Arthur Raymond Hursey. She was a 1951 Newcomerstown High School graduate. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Newcomerstown and Newcomerstown Saddle Club. On Aug. 25, 1951, she married Nathan G. Williams Jr., who died July 2, 1998. Survivors include one daughter, Pam Stewart of Newcomerstown; nine grandchildren, Bonnie Raye Ridenbaugh and husband Rich, Heath Williams and Robin, Brad Opphile and wife Angel, Mike Opphile, Shelley Stanton and husband Travis, Nicole Barker and husband Stacie, Jessica Stewart, Jennifer Truex and husband Brandon, and Leslie Bloom and husband Steve; 12 great-grandchildren, Joshua, Morgan, Camden, Josie, Alyssa, Zachary, Ashton, Heath Allen Jr., Nathan, Donald, Landon and Zachary; two brothers, Dane Hursey and wife Jane of Newcomerstown and Lester Hursey and wife Beverly of West Lafayette; and one sister, Jean Beall of Newcomerstown. She was preceded in death by one son, Donald Ray Williams; one daughter, Kathy Couts; one granddaughter, Kelly Couts; and one brother, George Hursey. Services will be held at Addy Funeral Home on Saturday (09-06-2008) beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Russell Ham officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Port Washington, O. Visitation is at Addy Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W. 3rd St., Dover, O. 44622.
