Max G. Stansbery, 92, of 148 Chapman Ave., died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital in Coshocton. Born Aug. 16, 1915, in Midvale, he was a son of the late William A. and Anna Rebecca Roby Stansbery. A World War II Army veteran, Mr. Stansbery worked for B&O Railroad and retired from Marlite in Dover. A lifetime member of the American Legion Thomas C. Montgomery Post 431 in Newcomerstown, Mr. Stansbery was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3303 in Newcomerstown and the Eagles Lodge in Coshocton. Survivors include four children, Sandra Buckland of Akron, Susan Stansbery of Columbus, Michael (Kathy) Stansbery of North Canton, and Carol (Randy) Ford of West Lafayette; a stepson, Carl Boswell of Dover; a stepdaughter, Joyce (Paul) Barnett of Norton; 15 grandchildren, Rebecka, Grant, Shawn, Tim, Carrie, David, Ben, Holly, Sara, Tammy, Candy, Todd, Allen, Jodi and Jenny; and 22 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stansbery was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 30, at Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008, at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Crank officiating. Military graveside services will be held at West Lawn Cemetery in Newcomerstown
