Robert Lawrence

Robert D. Lawrence, 70, of 16833 Township Road 119, Newcomerstown, died Thursday, Jan 5, 2006, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. He was born April 18, 1935, in Newcomerstown, to the late Clayton W. and Hazel (Smetts) Lawrence Robert attended Newcomerstown High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a retired Owner/Operator in the truck driving business. A member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Canton, he also was retired member of the teamsters and enjoyed family gatherings and his grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Robert Lawrence of Kimbolton and John (lorie) Lawrence od Fresno; two daughters, Debb Marriccini od Canton and Kathy (Kevin) Kirker of Warsaw; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Don (Bobbi) Lawrence of Coshocton; one sister, Norma (Robert) Norman of West Lafayette; four nieces; and companion, Linda Palmer of Newcomerstown. He was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Lawrence; and one grandchild. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
