Ruby Elnora Heston

Ruby Elnora Heston, 89 of Kimbolton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at her residence.

Ruby was born February 16, 1936, in Catoosa, Oklahoma to the late Oval Cobler and Ova Doll (Baker, Cobler) Flack. She married Ellsworth Eugene Heston on October 18, 1952, and they spent fifty-eight years together before he passed away February 20, 2011. She worked for Tyson Dry Cleaning and Bell Nursing Home. When she retired from Tyson, she became a homemaker. She loved gardening, canning, reading books, and putting together puzzles, but most of all she loved every minute spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children David (Teresa) Heston of Zanesville, Debra Heston of Zanesville, and Jenetta (Frank) Steed of Kimbolton; her grandchildren Jennifer, Sophia, Stefan, Alexander, Zachery, Jimmy, Michael, and Brad (grandson-in-law); four great-grandchild, Desire, Cameron, Dawson, and Colter; and a great-great grandson Daylyn.

Ruby was preceded in death by her daughter Ruby Elaine Heston, her son Ellsworth Dwane Heston, and a granddaughter Ruby Ellen Heston, all of her siblings, and several nieces and nephews.

Per Ruby's wishes, a cremation will take place. There are no scheduled services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date, and Ruby will be laid to rest at Flat Ridge Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Ohio Health ICU Department, and Guernsey County Hospice for taking such wonderful care of Ruby.
