Ruth Simmerman

Ruth Ann Simmerman, 77, of 74274 Grapevine Rd., Kimbolton, died Friday, March 7, 2008, in Autumn Health Care Center at Cambridge. She was born July 31, 1930, at Winterset, O., the daughter of the late Ogle and Kathryn Kinsey Grimsley. She belonged to the Birmingham United Methodist Church and the church?s women?s group. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Birmingham Homemakers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Miller Simmerman, whom she married on June 25, 1949, and who died on March 4, 2006. She also is preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Grimsley, and a sister, Carolyn Fern Lucas. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Orr and husband David of Kimbolton; a son, Larry Simmerman of Kimbolton; six grandchildren, Amy Swigart and husband Will, Tracey Orr, Richard Orr, Michael Orr, Brandon Simmerman and Shannon Simmerman; and one great-granddaughter, Arika Swigart. Services will be held at Birmingham United Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Beth Mansperger officiating. Burial will be in Peoli Cemetery at Port Washington, O. Calling hours are on Monday, March 10, 2008, from 4 to 7 p.m. in Addy Funeral Home at Newcomerstown.
