Thomas D. Heller, 72 of Newcomerstown, passed away on April 8, 2025 in Ripley, West Virginia.
Tom was born November 4, 1952, in Coshocton to the late John S. and Jean (Bricker) Heller. He was a 1971 graduate of Newcomerstown High School, and a graduate of Otterbein College. Tom enjoyed boating and saltwater fishing, and he also liked restoring classic cars. He loved Railroadiana, and all things railroad. Tom wrote a book titled “Mischievous Boomers” about his growing up and the history of Newcomerstown.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-six years Bonnie (Knight) Heller; his daughter Leslie (Clark) Smith; his grandchildren Lexie (Conner) Smith and Logan Smith; his brother John A. (Nancy) Heller; his sister-in-law Mary Lou Heller; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Larry Heller; his mother-in-law Bessie Knight-Hamilton; and his father-in-law Kenneth Knight.
Per Tom’s wishes, a cremation will take place. There are no scheduled services at this time but any donations can be made to the Newcomerstown Historical Society in his name.
