Wilma June Lawver, 81, of 435 Wood Ave., Newcomerstown, died Sunday, July 20, 2008, in her home surrounded by loving family. She was born June 10, 1927, at Uhrichsville, to the late E. W. Page and Clarice Alloway Page Smith. June graduated from Uhrichsville High School in 1945. She married her best friend, the late Marvin L. Lawver, on Dec. 10, 1946. They were married 56 years and she was very supportive of her late husband's many endeavors. She is survived by four daughters, Nancy (Bill) Grubbs of Coshocton, Cheryl (Ed) Myers of Sligo, Pa., Donna (J.R.) Simmons of Stone Creek and Patti (John) Grewell of Newcomerstown; a brother, Earl (Barb) Heston of Spokane, Wash.; two brothers-in-law, Carl (Diana) Lawver of Newcomerstown and Harold (Sharon) Lawver of Plainfield; two sisters-in-law, Jean Lawver and Mary Lawver of Newcomerstown; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two on the way. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Gibbs; two brothers-in-law, John Lawver and Roy Curtis Lawver; and a sister-in-law, Cora Lawver. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today, July 22, at the Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown and one half hour before the funeral services. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23,2008, at the funeral home with C. E. "Sonny" Easterday officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery.
