Wilma McMillen Obituary

Wilma W. McMillen, 83, of 6068 E. State Rd., Newcomerstown, O., went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 13, 2008, in Riverside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at Newcomerstown, O. She was born Nov. 13, 1924, in Noble County, O., a daughter of the late Daisy (Montgomery) Wilson and Blaine Wilson. She was a graduate of Batesville High School and Mus-kingum College. She began teaching Home Economics and English at Fresno and later Home Economics at New-comerstown. Later she worked as a Home Economist for Ohio Power, first at Coshocton, then the Dennison office. In 1968, she began teaching 2nd grade at East Elementary in Newcomers-town until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Newcomerstown. She enjoyed traveling and delivered Meals on Wheels. She was a Sunday School and Bible School teacher and was a member of Church Circle and United Methodist Women. On Nov. 22, 1950, she married Donald E. ?Fuzz? McMillen, who died Nov. 24, 1991. Surviving are one daughter, Lisa D. Harstine of Coshocton; one son, Timothy C. McMillen of Newcomers-town; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Brian Harstine of Bexley; one sister, Reva D. Orr of Marion; one brother, Mark D. Wilson and wife Mary Lou of Midland, Texas; a sister-in-law, Doramae Wilson of Jacksonville, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Myron Wilson. Services will be held at Addy Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ronald Little officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery at Newcomerstown, O. Visitation will be in Addy Funeral Home on Tuesday (today), April 15, 1008, from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 648 Oak St., Newcomerstown, O. 43832
